SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo beach volleyball team wrapped up the home portion of their season welcoming Jacksonville State University and State College of Florida for a Tri-Match Tuesday afternoon. The Lions completed the afternoon Tri-Match sweep 4-0 against Jacksonville State and 5-0 against State College of Florida.

Saint Leo opened up the morning sweeping Jacksonville State, 4-0 to kick off the Tuesday Tri-match. Aliya Fredette-Huffman and Jeanette Henderson kicked off the match with a win over the pairing of Gracie Danzinger and Luci Wilkinson, 21-18 and 21-18. The Lions were able to take all four matches in straight sets.

 The Green & Gold closed out the afternoon Tri-match similar to the first match, sweeping the visiting State College of Florida, 5-0. The Lions carried their momentum from the Jacksonville State match and once again defeated their opponent in all straight sets. The pairing of Ignacia Cortinez and Emma Miller won by the biggest margin during the second match, defeating Kayla Gentry and Bailee Perry, 21-8 and 21-6.

Saint Leo will travel to Tampa, Florida for the University of Tampa Tournament, March 31^st. The Lions will take the court against Florida Southern at 8:00 A.M. and Tampa at 12:00 P.M.
