Beach Volleyball Sweeps Tri Match Against Stevenson and Eckerd

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo beach volleyball team returned home to the Sain Leo Beach Volleyball Courts for a tri-match against Stevenson University and Eckerd College. Saint Leo honored two seniors prior to the match against Eckerd, Elizabeth Sandoval and Ally Reese-Williams received senior day recognitions.

Saint Leo opened up the morning sweeping Stevenson, 5-0 to kick off the Thursday Tri-match. Aliya Fredette-Huffman and Jeanette Henderson kicked off the match with a win over the pairing of Shannon Baily and Taylor Jones, 16-21, 21-16, and 15-6. The pairing of Emma Miller and Ignacia Perez earned the largest margin of victory defeating Rileigh Kimball and Miranda Mueck, 21-17 and 21-11.

 The Green & Gold closed out the afternoon Tri-match defeating Eckerd College, 5-0. The Lions had three pairings win in straight sets against the Tritons.

Saint Leo will look to continue this success at home when they when they welcome Jacksonville State University and State College of Florida to the Saint Leo Beach Volleyball Courts, Tuesday March 21st.
