Saint Leo, Fla – History repeats itself as Saint Leo Women's Tennis cruises to an easy 7-0 victory in their home opener versus Ave Maria just as last year. The non-conference win gives the Lions a great 1-0 start to the new season.
 
The Lions swept in doubles action easily as the pair of Marta Vicens Miquel and Lavinia Lancelotti achieved a 6-3 victory start things off.
 
Luzia Obermeier and Kamilya Shailina followed up with a dominant 6-0 victory.
 
Then, Camilla Keller and Jade Bellegy closed the doubles action with a 7-5 win.
 
In singles action, it was once again a dominant performance from the Green & Gold.
 
Miquel and Obermeier achieved victory in the first and second matches respectfully.
 
Next came the wins of Lancelotti and Shailina.
 
To close things out, Ermann and Keller won their respective games to help the Lions achieve the 7-0 victory.
 
Saint Leo will once again be in action on February 5th as they matchup against Palm Beach Atlantic in their first Sunshine State conference matchup of the season. It is scheduled for a 2pm start time.
