DAVIE, Fla. – The third-seeded Saint Leo women's tennis team advanced to the NCAA South Regional II Championship on Saturday after defeating the sixth-seed Auburn Montgomery Warhawks; 4-0. The Lions fell to the second-seeded Nova Southeastern Sharks 4-1, ending yet another great NCAA postseason run by the Green and Gold. Under the direction of head coach Chad Berryhill, Saint Leo finished the 2022 season with a 21-4 overall record following the program's 10^th time punching its' ticket to the NCAA Regionals, the fourth consecutive season.
 
Nova took the early 1-0 lead after taking the second and third double flights.
 
Lavinia Lancellotti, made a statement in singles play, leveling the team score to 1-1 after cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 fourth flight victory.
 
The Sharks continued to press on their home court, securing the second, sixth, and top flights, for the final decision.
