ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Saint Leo beach volleyball team split in the final day of the Battle of the Bay. The Lions dropped a 4-1 decision to Tampa followed by a 4-1 win over the tournament hosts, Eckerd. The day's results moved the Green and Gold's overall record to 6-6.
 
Clare Flanagan and Brenna Reinhard registered their fifth win together defeating the Spartan's fourth pair. The duo finished back-to-back long battles in order to bring home a 21-19, 21-19 win.
 
In match two against Eckerd, Saint Leo cruised to victory seeing wins at the first, second, third, and fifth pairings. Fifth pairings, Elizabeth Sandoval and Amanda Doherty flexed on their opponents 21-8, 21-7. Meanwhile second pair, Aliya Fredette-Huffman and LeeAnn Potter topped the Tritons 21-8, 21-9.
