ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Saint Leo beach volleyball team heading south down the Interstate to compete in fellow Sunshine State Conference institution, Eckerd College's Battle on the Bay two-day tournament on North Shore Beach Courts. The Lions opened the tournament against the Missouri State Bears, in which they loss a tight 3-2 battle. In match two of the day, Saint Leo faced the College of Charleston Bears. The Bears got away from the Lions 5-0. The day's results moved the Green and Gold's record to 5-5. 
 
Ally-Reese Williams and Emma Miller are on fire. The pair filled the four spot in both matches, defeating their opponents from Missouri State in a long three-set battle; 21-19, 20-22, 15-11. The duo is finished the opening day 7-3 together.
