LAKELAND, Fla. – The Saint Leo beach volleyball team defeated the Florida Southern Moccasins 3-2 on Tuesday, March 15, repeating the Lions' last match and meeting with the Mocs, 3-2 from last Tuesday, March 8. The two straight victories over the fellow Sunshine State Conference foes raised the Green and Gold's overall record to 8-7.
Nina Vattovaz and
Jeanette Henderson defeated the Mocs in back-to-back fashion at the one spot. The duo dished out a 21-12, 21-13 win, improving from last week's 22-20, 21-17 tally.
Third pairing,
Ally-Reese Williams and
Emma Miller are also now 2-0 against the Mocs. Williams and Miller surrounded a mere 15 points in both sets combined against the hosts.
Unlike the first appearance against each other at the Saint Leo Beach Courts,
Elizabeth Sandoval and
Amanda Doherty flipped the script, handing in a 21-16, 24-22 win as the fourth pair.
