MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Saint Leo women's track team placed eighth with 42.5 points over the weekend competing in the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge. The Lions saw
Anna O'Connor and
Paige Patterson win their respective events in the 10,000-meter and 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Anna O'Connor won the 10,000-meter event with a time of 38:12.27 while
Paige Patterson defeated all competition in the 3000m Steeplechase with a time of 11:05.26. The pair of top performances automatically recorded 20 points for the Green and Gold on their way to the 42.5-point weekend.
Robyn Burrows captured a fourth place finish in the 200-meter race with a time of 26.88, tallying five points for the Lions. In the 400-meter event,
Skyelar Aguilar crossed the finish line in six place at 1:03.03 to win three points. She was followed by teammate,
Vyctoria Boger in ninth with a time of 1:04.35.
Faye Dervan had an impressive showing in the 1,500-meter race with a time of 4:55.72 in fourth place.
The Lions return to the track on Saturday, March 19 at the University of South Florida starting at 11:00 a.m.
