Emily Kalmink the Lions' Beach Volleyball Assistant Coach on Monday, Jan 31, 2022. Coach Kalmink will help lead the Green and Gold into its' fifth season as the institution's 20
th sport.

Kalmink comes to Saint Leo after a season on the State College of Florida volleyball and beach volleyball coaching staffs and two-season stint at Southeastern University. She recently graduated from the University of Florida with a Master's degree in sports management, focusing on athlete development and the media, specifically Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL). Her Master's degree builds on her Bachelor of Communications from Southeastern University ('19) specializing in social media. Â
In addition to her coaching experience, Kalmink competed for NCAA Division III Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island. The Grand Rapid, Mich. native, was a two-year starting middle blocker, team captain, two-time All-GNAC, All-Region, two-time all-conference, two-time all-tournament team, conference tournament MVP, and Regional Rookie of the Year.

Kalmink and the Saint Leo Beach Volleyball team is set to open action in 2022 on Saturday, Feb 12 in Leesburg, Fla. The Lions' first serve of the season will be against the Webber International Warriors starting at 1:00 p.m.

Kalmink and the 2022 Green and Gold squad will enjoy their first home match at the Saint Leo Beach Volleyball Courts on Tuesday, Mar 8 at noon against Florida Southern.
