Paul Coumoulos was named to the 2022 National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) Preseason All-America team on Monday as a honorable mention utility player. In addition, Coumoulos was named to the All-South Region team, also as an utility player. It is his second nomination from the NCBWA after being named to the All-South Region Second Team in 2021.
Coumoulos was one of seven players from the Sunshine State Conference to be named to this year's All-America team.
Coumoulos posted a .439 batting average in the shortened 2021 campaign. The Spring Hill, Florida native drove in 15 runs, totaled 25 hits, and eight runs to finish with a .456 slugging percentage.
