BOONE, N.C. – The Saint Leo men's track team competed at the Appalachian State Invite inside the Holmes Convocation Center. The Lions saw a number of top-five finishes including first-place performances by Jhovan Martin and Arthur Cosson.
Martin won the 55-meter dash with a time of 6.44. He also captured a fourth-place finish in the 300-meter race with a final time of 38.09. Cosson topped the completion in the 300-meter event crossing the line in a mere 8:52.05.
In longer distance events,
Aidan O'Leary finished second in the mile run with a time of 4:30.55. Meanwhile, teammate Albert La'Red earned a fifth-place finish in the 5000-meter run at 16:20.82.
Up next, the Lions will head to the Jaguar Invite on Saturday, Feb 5 in Birmingham, Ala.
