Men’s Swimming Wraps Up the Regular Season Against Rollins

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's swimming team wrapped up the regular season against Rollins in a dual Sunshine State Conference meet on Friday. The cold cloudy Florida day handed the Green and Gold a pair of losses inside the Marion Aquatics Center; 73-55, 76-52.
 
Devin Green won the 100-yard backstroke for the Lions with a final time of 53.66. Carlos Nava also tallied nine points, winning the 100-yard breaststroke in 56.88. The Lions' 400-yard medley relay team made up of Green, Nava, Jakub Kwasny, and Szymon Leszega beat out the competition with a time of 3:27.44.
 
In the second meet against the Tars, Green continued to own the backstroke. He won the 200-yard event with a final time of 1:59.04. Leszega tallied another first-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 47.07. Kwasny also captured a first-place finish in the 100-yard butterfly handing in a time of 50.16.

The Lions will head to the 2022 Sunshine State Conference Swimming Championships for a five-day meet starting on Wednesday, Feb 16. The conference championship will be held inside The Long Center in Clearwater, Fla.
