WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The eighth-ranked Saint Leo women's tennis team picked up their third straight victory in a 6-1 decision at Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday. The conference match-up raised the Lions' overall record to 3-1, 3-1 in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC).
The Sailfish escaped the Lions in doubles action. The 'Fish took the second and third flights for their lone team match point. Despite dropping the doubles point,
Molly Helgesson and
Lavinia Lancellotti won their first flight, 6-4.
Saint Leo responded in singles play capturing wins in all six flights in just two sets. Freshman,
Celina Ermann, cruised through the fifth flight with a clean 6-0, 6-0 final.

Keeping Our Lions Healthy & Safe
Saint Leo University Athletics is keeping our student-athletes healthy and safe by following a number of measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. This includes having student-athletes tested or screened on a regular basis, traveling in smaller groups, holding competitions without fans in attendance, avoiding overnight trips, and wearing masks when not competing. These safety standards meet those set by the NCAA Division II and the Sunshine State Conference President's Council. At Saint Leo University, the COVID-19 Incident Command Team also reviews the teams' safety protocol and monitors adherence on a regular basis.
