SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo opened the beach volleyball season inviting Warner and Eckerd to the Saint Leo Beach Volleyball Courts in a tri-match on Saturday. The Lions cruised past Warner, 5-0, and won a long battle with Eckerd 3-2. 
 
Duo pairs, one, two, and three stayed the same for both matches while the fourth and fifth spots were altered between opponents.
 
Third doubles duo, Ally-Reese Williams and Lina Russo demanded the attention of every member of the Saint Leo and Eckerd volleyball beach teams as the busy day of action came down to one long third set battle; 21-17, 28-30, 16-14. The dramatic finish was framed by first and second doubles wins and losses at the four and five.
