WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Saint Leo men's swimming team competed in another close meet Saturday, this time coming out on the right side of the outcome. After falling by just three points to nationally-ranked Florida Tech a week ago, the Lions defeated the host Rollins Tars Saturday by just two points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The meet consisted of 14 events including a pair of relays.
- The Lions won 11 of the 14 races.
- Saint Leo captured nine individual event victories and both relays.
- Four Lions each picked up two individual victories on the day.

TOP PERFORMERS:
- Reigning Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Week, sophomore Carlos Nava earned a pair of victories as well as a second place individual finish. He was also part of the winning 400 medley relay. He won the 100 breaststroke with a winning time of 57.20. He then won the 200 breaststroke in 2:09.68. His second place finish came in a second-third result with teammate and classmate Alex Clark in the 400 individual medley. Nava earned the runner-up spot after touching the wall in 4:21.41 while Clark came in just behind at 4:22.75.
- Junior Hugo Chopineau took both the distance freestyle events as he won the 1000 free in 9:47.56 before posting a one-two finish in the 500 free with sophomore Devin Green. Chopineau stopped the clock at 4:47.37 while Green came in at 4:50.38. Green also earned an individual victory of his own in the 200 freestyle as he topped the field in 1:43.76. Green was also part of the winning 400 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
- Sophomore Szymon Leszega took home the two sprint freestyle events. He blazed downed the pool in the 50 free in 21.82 before claiming the 100 free in 46.74. He also took part in the winning 400 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
- Sophomore Jakub Kwasny was the final two-time individual winner as he swept the butterfly events He won the 100 in 52.11 before winning the 200 in 1:57.50. Kwasny also participated in both the winning 400 medley and 200 freestyle relays.
- Green, Nava, Kwasny and Leszega teamed up in the 400 medley relay to win the event in 3:34.75.
- Sophomore RJ Ferguson, Leszega, Kwasny and Green took home the final event of the afternoon as the quartet teamed up to post a time of 1:26.20 to win the 200 freestyle relay.

Saint Leo will return to action Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 20-21, for a pair of dual meets at the 12
th-ranked University of Tampa.
