COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Saint Leo men's and women's track programs closed out the indoor track regular season with an impressive meet versus several NCAA Division I programs at the South Carolina Invitational. The women's distance medley relay led the way on Saturday as they took second only to Clemson who broke the facility record by over 13 seconds. The Lions broke the Saint Leo school record in the event with their performance and ran the eighth fastest time in NCAA Division II this season.

TOP PERFORMERS
SAINT LEO MEN:
- Junior Shane Bracken once again led the way as he took sixth in the 800m. He stopped the clock at 1:52.88. Senior Blake Watson joined him in the event and took 19th in 1:58.43.
- Freshman Pierre Galbourdin took eighth in a very competitive 5,000m field. He posted a time of 15:12.15.
- Galbourdin, senior Shawn Bell, Watson and Bracken teamed up in the distance medley relay as the quartet took eighth in 10:46.09.

SAINT LEO WOMEN:
- Freshman Sintayehu Vissa, sophomore Skyelar Aguilar, sophomore Aoife Mahony and sophomore Paige Patterson joined forces to post the eighth fastest distance medley relay time in NCAA Division II this season. The quartet finished second in the event only to Clemson who went on to win and set the facility record by over 13 seconds. The Lions on the other hand finished in a school record time of 12:05.36.
- Vissa turned some heads on her own as she took 11th in a very tough 800m field. Vissa posted the ninth fastest time in Division II this season at 2:12.98.
- Mahony joined Vissa in the 800 as she posted a personal best and came up just shy of a provisional mark at 2:16.15.

Saint Leo heads to the UT Track Invitational in Tampa, Fla. to open the outdoor season Friday, Feb. 21. The Lions will also await the announcement of the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships field to see who will be heading back to Birmingham March 13-14. Â
