LAKELAND, Fla. – Saint Leo women's cross country took on the eight team field at the FLRunners.com Invitational at Holloway Park in Lakeland and came away with a third place finish as the Green and Gold looked to run together.

The Lions saw five runners come in right on each others heels as the group ran the race together and finished milliseconds apart.
Kathrin Halter out sprinted the group down the final stretch to lead the pack with a 16
th place finish in a time of 21:15.7.

Paige Patterson was right on Halter's heels with a time of 21:15.9 for 17
th place while
Ashley Lindeman took 18
th tying with
Tania Jarreau in time at 21:16.0, where Jerreau took 19
th.
Sintayehu Vissa rounded out the five in the group in 20
th in a time of 21:16.3.

Amanda Bohm rounded out the top-25 runners in the field in a time of 22:07.1.
Aoife Mahony and
Kerry Reilly tied in time at 22:17.5 for 29
th and 30
th, respectively.

Saint Leo trailed Southeastern (first place) and Sunshine State Conference foe, Nova Southeastern (second place) in the team standings.

Saint Leo will run next on Oct. 11 in Charlotte, N.C. at the Queens City Invite. Â
