SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo University cheerleading team has announced an upcoming Open Gym inviting high school juniors and seniors to come stunt and tumble with the Saint Leo team. The event will take place Saturday, Sept. 28 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. inside the Marion Bowman Activities Center on the campus of Saint Leo University.

The event will take place on the same day as Saint Leo Open House. The team encourages those interested to check out the University in the morning and practice with the team in the evening. This is open to both male and female cheerleaders who are between the ages of 16 and 18.

The Saint Leo cheerleading team is under the direction of head coach
Haylee Monk. Monk, a 2006 graduate of the University of Florida, has over 10 years of coaching experience. A former Pasco High School varsity cheerleader, Monk went on to the University of Florida where she was a competitive cheerleader for 2005-06, where she helped the Gators place in the NCAA Division I top-10 at the National Cheerleading Association competition.
