Women's Golf Climbs in WGCA Coaches Poll

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - After placing second at the opening tournament in the fall, Saint Leo women's golf climbed five spots in the latest Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Coaches Poll. 

The Lions, who took third at the opening tournament in Carmel, Ind., moved up the rankings from the preseason rank of 13th to the first poll rank of eighth. The Green and Gold join Sunshine State Conference foes Barry (fourth), Nova Southeastern (fifth), and Lynn (seventh) inside the top-10 in the WGCA Coaches Poll. 

Saint Leo is back in action on Sept. 30 at the Bubba Burger Jacksonville Classic at Marsh Landing Country Club in Ponte Verde Beach, Fla.
