Bevill Adds Two for 2019-2020

SAINT LEO, Fla. – After guiding the team to the NCAA regionals and two players to the NCAA National Championship, Saint Leo women's golf head coach Lyndsey Bevill has announced two transfer additions to the 2019-2020 roster.
 
The Lions will bring in Gonzaga transfer Francesca Santoni (Torbole Sul Garda, Italy / Istituto Aniene) as well as Missouri-St. Louis transfer Lucille Lambert (Jodoigne, Belgium / Institut Saint Albert).
 
"I am extremely happy to have Francesca and Lucille join the Lions' golf program," Head Coach Lyndsey Bevill stated. "The future of the program improved with the addition of these two along with our six returners. Our goals are remaining the same as we look to finish in the top-three in the Sunshine State Conference and advance to the Regionals and National Championships in 2020."
 
Francesca Santoni WGOLF Signee

Santoni joins the Green and Gold after two years for the Zags where she put together a 75.50 stroke average in her sophomore season. She turned in two top-10 finishes including one top-five at the Battle at the Rock where she finished two-over 218 for the three rounds. Santoni carded her best round this season of 69 during the third round of the Battle at the Rock.
 
Lucille Lambert WGOLF Signee


Lambert is coming to the Lions after helping guide the Tritons to the NCAA National Championship. During her freshman season, Lambert averaged a 79.54 where she put together three top-15 finishes with her season best of tied for sixth coming at the William Beall Fall Classic.
 
Bevill adds Santoni and Lambert to the six returners from 2018-2019 to make up a roster of eight. The duo will join senior Izzy Lawrence (Glencoe, Trinidad & Tobago),  juniors Synne Laurtizen (Sarpsborg, Norway), Isabel Nesteus (Hoellviken, Sweden), and Jasmin Pnaiser (Hagley, England), as well as sophomore's Louise Henningsson (Granna, Sweden) and Rose Morissette (Laval, Quebec, Canada).
