CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - Saint Leo women's golfer, Synne Lauritzen earned Division II All-American Second Team honors announced Monday, May 20 by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA). 

The redshirt sophomore, who earned All-South Region second team honors earlier this month, paced the Lions all year with a 75.00 stroke average with an adjusted average of 74.71 and finished as the 18th ranked golfer in DII by GolfStat relative ranking. 

Lauritzen was joined by Sunshine State Conference foes Noelle Beijer (Florida Tech), Lucy Eaton (Florida Tech), Amanda Gartrell (Florida Southern), Sophie Madden (Nova Southeastern), and Kristina Ortiz (Lynn) on the second team. The Sarpsborg, Norway native finished in the top-10 at five events this year including three top-5 finishes, with her best of third place at the Lady Flames Super Regional Preview. 

At the SSC Championships, she led the Lions with a fourth-place finish at two-over 218 following rounds of 73-74-71, before going on for a 17th place finish at the Super Regionals at 224 (+8). Lauritzen adds her WGCA All-South Region honors and All-American Second Team honors to her All-SSC Second Team and SSC All-Tournament team accolades for 2018-19.
