PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Saint Leo women's golfers,
Isabel Nesteus and
Izzy Lawrence wrapped up their first postseason appearance at the 2019 NCAA DII Women's Golf National Championship in the top-half of the players field. Nesteus finished tied for 24th as Lawrence made a huge jump Thursday to finish tied for 36th on the par-73, 6,081-yard Champion Course at PGA National.
Isabel Nesteus matched her first round score with a final round 79 (+6) to finish at 235 (+16), carding two birdies and 12 par's. Nesteus moved up five spots Thursday to finish in the top-25 of the players with a 24th place finish. She finished as the fifth individual playing at the championships without a team, while teammate
Izzy Lawrence was the sixth individual in the standings. Lawrence made three birdies and drained 10 par's over her final 18-holes at Nationals to climb 25 spots in the player leaderboard to take 36th place.
