NORMAN, Okla. – Saint Leo sophomore,
Alberto Castagnara earned Division II PING All-South Region honors for the second straight year when the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced the All-Region honorees for 2019 Thursday afternoon.
Castagnara, who is a two-time semifinalist for the National Player of the Year award, has paced the Green and Gold all year on the course with a 72.55 scoring average and ranks 47th in all of NCAA Division II men's golfers. The sophomore from Pordenone, Italy was one of 13 Sunshine State Conference golfers on the list of 20 Division II golfers.Â
Saint Leo men's golf will travel to Daniels, W.Va. May 20-24 to compete for the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championship at the Resort at Glades Springs.
