SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo women's golf was one of eight Sunshine State Conference teams selected to participate in the South Regional May 6-8 at the Cleveland Country Club in Cleveland, Tenn. hosted by Lee University.

The Lions, who are coming off a seventh place finish at the Sunshine State Conference Championships, fell in as the fifth seed in the regional where the SSC makes up eight of 12 teams, including the top-five seeds, vying to advance to the National Championship. Saint Leo will play the first two rounds with Florida Tech and Limestone.

After taking fourth at the SSC Championships, Synne Laurizten was named to the All-SSC Tournament Team where she was later on named to the All-SSC Second Team when the postseason awards were released on April 26.

Lauritzen paced the Green and Gold all year and holds a 75.04 stroke average with five top-10 finishes and three top-five places. The sophomore from Sarpsborg, Norway heads into the regional as the 19th ranked golfer in all of Division II.
