SAINT LEO, Fla. – After the first round of the 2019 Sunshine State Conference Men's Golf Championships, No. 19 Saint Leo is sitting tied for third place after carding a team score of 294 (+6).

Oliver Lilliedahl, a native of Sandviken, Sweden, led the Lions with a one-under 71 followed by
Simon Knutsson, a junior from Nodinge, Sweden, at one-over 73. The lone freshman in the Green and Gold's lineup,
Dave Longhini, of Asiago Italy is at two-over 74. Lilliedahl sits in fifth place with Knutsson in 11th and Longhini in 15th.

Alberto Castagnara, a sophomore from Pordenone, Italy, is tied for 29th at four-over 76 while senior
Nilo Sanchez of Lutz, Fla. stands in 38th place at six-over 78.Â

Juan Jose Guerra, of Nova Southeastern, is sitting atop the leaderboard following round one, claiming a two-stroke lead after firing off a five-under 67 Sunday. No. 9 Nova Southeastern holds a two-stroke lead for clubhouse leader status after day one at 282 (-6).
