SAINT LEO, Fla.- No.3 Women's Tennis defeated No.11 Academy of Art 4-3 on Tuesday evening to extend their win streak to five and lift their record to 12-2 on the season.
Academy of Art earned the double match point, winning every pair.
In singles, thirty-seventh ranked
Kristyna Jurkova clinched the victory for the second consecutive game, winning second singles 6-7, 6-3, 6-2.
Nina Furmaniak won third singles 6-3, 6-1.
Madeleine Gauthier battled at fifth singles and defeated her opponent 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
Nastasia Jedrychowski won her match by retirement in the third set.
The Lions return to action away at No. 41 Palm Beach Atlantic on Saturday, March 30 at 1:00 p.m. to continue Sunshine State Conference play.
