MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Saint Leo women's track team closed out competition at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational in Myrtle Beach, S.C. The Lions competed in the 800 meter and steeplechase events, respectively.

"We are always excited to get an opportunity to travel out of the state to see some different competition," commented head coach
Kent Reiber. "The competition definitely helped as we had over 10 personal bests over the last three days."

Paige Patterson spearheaded the day's results winning the steeplechase with a 11:39.39.
Aoife Mahony led the Green and Gold in the 800m with a time of 2:20.45 earning a sixth-place finish.
Ashley Lindeman crossed the line within the top-20 finishes at 18 finishing with a time of 2:24.75.
Georgia Clode notched a 29
th place finish with a final time of 2:35.43.

Saint Leo returns to action on Friday, March 22 competing at the Bulls Invitational at the University of South Florida.
