SAINT AUGUSTINE, Fla. – No. 25 Saint Leo women's golf carded a 304 (+16) Sunday for the first round of the World Golf Invitational hosted by Flagler College. The Lions finished round one tied for fifth out of 18 teams, with
Synne Lauritzen tied for sixth after 18 holes.
Laurtizen is tied for sixth at even-par, 72, after firing off a two-under on the front nine with birdies on holes no. six and seven. Lauritzen turned in a two-over back nine to finish the day at even.
Izzy Lawrence is tied for 11th at one-over, 73, ahead of
Rose Morissette in 34th (78),
Isabel Nesteus in 59th (81), and
Louise Henningsson in 74th (83).
Playing as individuals,
Jasmin Pnaiser is tied for 69th at 82 where
Alexandra Velez is tied for 74th at 11-over, 83.
No. 3 Nova Southeastern is leading the team leaderboard at 288 (E). Fifty-third ranked individual player, by GolfStat, Sofia Garcia Austt of Nova Southeastern University is the clubhouse leader after round one at five-under, 67.
Saint Leo returns to action Monday, Feb. 4 to conclude play at the Flagler College World Golf Invitational.
