#23 Saint Leo Tops #22 Florida Tech, 137-68

SAINT LEO, Fla. – Competing for the first time at home this season, the 23rd-ranked Saint Leo women's team dominated the visiting and 22nd-ranked Florida Tech Panthers 137-68. The Lions took home nine victories over the 11 events that were contested. Sophomore Vittoria Bonsanti Feniello once again led the way for the Lions as she won all three events in which she competed.
 
The Los Teques, Venezuela native won the 200, 500 and 1,000 freestyle on the day. She began with a nearly one-minute lead in the 1,000 as she topped the field in 10:26.22. Teammates senior Siobhan Murphy and sophomore Erika Baumgardner took second and third, respectively, behind Bonsanti Feniello. Murphy stopped the clock at 11:22.39 while Baumgardner touched the wall in 11:44.34.
 
Bonsanti Feniello continued in the 200 free with a 1:54.98 time to take the win. She concluded her day in the 500 free with a winning time of 5:06.15.
 
Senior Annie Lindstrom took home two individual victories and was part of a winning relay. She opened her day with a victory in the 50 freestyle. She sped down the lane in 24.67. Sophomore Lauren Boos came in second in the event with a time of 25.39. Lindstrom was part of another one-two finish in the 100 free as she took the race in 54.37. Senior Matalin Shaver came in next as she touched the wall in 54.64.
 
Lindstrom and Shaver were joined in the 200 freestyle relay by senior Zofia Pilarska and freshman Andrea Toledano as they concluded the meet with a 1:39.33 event victory.
 
Pilarska picked up an individual victory of her own in the 100 butterfly. She was joined in the race by freshman Mariana Navarrete as the two combined for a one-two finish. Pilarska stopped the clock at 59.07 while Navarrete touched the wall in 59.16.
 
The pair were joined in the 200 medley relay by Shaver and junior Paulina Majszutowicz as the quartet took the opening event in 1:49.94.
 
Majszutowicz was the only other individual event winner for the Lions as she took home the 100 breaststroke title. She and Navarrete took home a one-two finish. Majszutowicz clocked in at 1:07.40 while Navarrete touched the wall in 1:08.07.
 
The Lions will not have much time to rest as they head to Clearwater, Fla., Tuesday through Thursday for the annual Spartan Invite.
