SAINT LEO, Fla. – The 21
st-ranked Saint Leo men's swimming team was impressive in its home debut Monday afternoon as the Lions downed the visiting Panthers of Florida Tech 142-63. The Lions won all but one event and were led by the dynamic duo of senior
Christian Cioffi and sophomore
Hampus Lovinge who each took home two individual titles and a relay.

Cioffi opened his afternoon with a victory in the 50 freestyle. He was joined in a one-two finish by junior
Fridtjov Mork. Cioffi touched the wall in 21.33 while Mork finished just behind in 21.64. The pair continued their strong afternoon in the 100 free as they were joined by senior
Michael Southward for a one-two-three finish for the Lions. Cioffi clocked in first at 46.65 followed by Mork at 46.77. Southward closed out the podium sweep with a time of 47.62.

The trio were joined by senior
Juan Patino in the 200 freestyle relay to close out the day. The quartet clocked in at 1:25.63 to top the field and close out the meet with a victory.

Lovinge began his day by teaming up with junior
Kosta Mitrovic, Patino and Southward in the 200 medley relay. The quartet opened the action with a victory after turning in a time of 1:35.61. Lovinge then went on to take the top spot in the 200 individual medley at 1:55.95 before closing out his day with a victory in the 100 backstroke.

Lovinge's win in the 100 back was part of a podium sweep for the Lions as freshman
Devin Green took second followed by junior
Nic Petruska in third. Lovinge touched the wall in 51.94 while Green stopped the clock at 54.66. Petruska rounded out the three with a time of 55.91.

The Lions posted another podium sweep in the 1,000 freestyle. Sophomore
Matthew Daniel led the way with a victory as he completed the distance in 9:35.10. Graduate student
Yann Corbel touched the wall next at 9:42.47 followed by senior
Logan Lamb who took third in 10:02.92.

Lamb picked up his own victory in the 100 butterfly as he topped the field in 52.67. Corbel also posted a victory as he took first in the 500 freestyle. He was joined in a one-two finish by senior
Matija Rafaj. Corbel stopped the clock at 4:41.62 while Rafaj came in at 4:57.21.

The only other Lion victory came in the 200 freestyle as Green earned the victory at 1:44.07. Petruska joined him in second at 1:49.17.

The Lions will not have much time to rest as they head to Clearwater, Fla., Tuesday through Thursday for the annual Spartan Invite. Â
