SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's soccer team upset the Embry-Riddle Eagles, 1-0, in Tuesday's season finale.
Nina Mueller netted the game-winner, her second-straight game finding the back of net. Under the direction of first-year head coach
Peter McGahey, the Lions wrapped up the year with a 7-9-1 record, 4-6 in the Sunshine State Conference (SSC).
The freshman midfielder captured a pass from
Carolina Solis-Deleon, shook off her defender, and slung a left footed zinger to the top right corner of the net in the 34
th minute. The first half goal would be enough to carry the Lions over the Eagles (8-5-1, 6-3-1 SSC).

Mueller paced the Green and Gold offense all night with three shots. Embry-Riddle edged Saint Leo on the shot count battle, 8-6.

Julia Ortiz, a four-year senior, closed out her collegiate career with a pair of saves.
