LAKELAND, Fla. – The Saint Leo women's swimming team jump started its 2019-20 season with a pair of victories including Saturday morning's 166-95 victory over Florida Southern on the road. Sophomore
Vittoria Bonsanti Feniello once again led the Lions as she won three individual events while also participating on a winning relay. The Lions won all but one event on Saturday to dominate the Mocs.

Bonsanti Feniello began her day with a win in the 1,000 freestyle as she stopped the clock at 10:44.74. She was joined in the race by senior
Charlie Langner who took second at 11:03.82. Bonsanti Feniello then went on to win the 200 freestyle in 1:55.91. She was once again joined on the podium by a teammate as senior
Matalin Shaver took second at 1:58.24. The final individual win for Bonsanti Feniello came in the 500 freestyle as she topped the field in 5:12.70. She closed out her day by teaming up with senior
Zofia Pilarska, Shaver and senior
Annie Lindstrom as the quartet won the 400 freestyle relay in 3:35.37.

Lindstrom notched her name at the top of two individual events as she also teamed up to win a pair of relays. She opened the meet by teaming up with freshman
Mariana Navarrete, junior
Paulina Majszutowicz and senior
Zofia Pilarska to win the 200 medley relay in 1:49.38. She then took home the top spot in the 50 freestyle after touching the wall in 24.06. The final individual win came in the 100 butterfly as she topped the field in 58.85. She then closed the day with her teammates in the 400 free relay.

Navarrete also picked up two individual victories in addition to her win in the medley relay. The rookie win the 100 backstroke and 200 individual medley. She clocked in at 59.71 in the 100 back before taking the 200 IM in 2:13.04.

The final multiple winner for the Lions was Majszutowicz who won the 100 and 200 breaststroke in addition to the medley relay. She took the 100 in 1:07.51 before winning the 200 with a time of 2:24.61.

Langner was one of two Lions to win one event on the day as she took home the top spot in the 200 butterfly. The senior touched the wall in 2:16.12 just over two seconds ahead of her teammate sophomore
Erika Baumgardner who took second in 2:18.90.

The final winner for the Lions was Pilarska who won the 100 freestyle in a time of 54.37.

The Lions will be back in action the weekend of November 22-24. A group of Lions will travel to the Fall Frenzy Invitational in Charlotte, N.C. while another group will participate in the Panther Invite hosted by Florida Tech.
