BOCA RATON, Fla. – Saint Leo women's cross country combined for 45 points and a second-place finish at the Sunshine State Conference Championships at the Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, Fla. The Green and Gold saw five runners finish inside the top-15 behind
Ashley Lindeman's fifth place finish.

"We ran a tight race, against the no. 18 team in the nation (Tampa)," head coach
Kent Reiber mentioned after the second race of the day. "As a staff, we are proud of their team effort and I know we've got more in the tank for regionals."

Lindeman crossed the line in a time of 25:59.8 to lead all Lions runners.
Paige Patterson (seventh, 23:09.7),
Tania Jarreau (eighth, 23:12.9), and
Sintayehu Vissa (10
th, 23:30.2) all finished behind the senior in the top-10 while
Aoife Mahony finished in 15
th (23:46.4).
Lindeman and Patterson earn first team All-SSC accolades while Jarreau, and Vissa earn second team nods.Â
