SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo University Department of Athletics announced its 2018 Hall of Fame Class of 2018, which features eight honorees that will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Nov. 1 on University Campus.
 
Inductees in the Class of 2018 included Ernie Robinson '68 (baseball and men's basketball), Brian Dayett '78 (baseball), Pierre Augustin '90 (men's basketball), Eusebio Montoya '08 (men's soccer), Ashley Urbanik '09 (softball), Hannah Beard '10 (women's soccer), Kyle Marceau '10 (men's lacrosse), and Kaitlin McKenna '10 (women's volleyball)
 
The ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. on November 1 inside the boardrooms on University Campus, located in the Student Community Center (page 5, number 35).
    Ernie Robinson '68 (Men's Basketball, Baseball)
A dual sport athlete, Ernie Robinson competed for both the men's basketball program and the baseball program in his playing for the Monarchs time at Saint Leo. During his senior year, Robinson was voted as the J. Barthle Scholar Athlete of the Year after carrying a 4.0-grade point average in the classroom. He was the 1968 captain with a .335 lifetime batting average on the baseball team where he caught for Saint Leo Athletic Hall of Fame pitchers, Thomas Crosby, Fred Cambria and Raymond Korn. Following his time playing for the Monarchs, Robinson retired after a 33-year teaching career in New York. In 1973, he was named the Teacher of the year in New York where he helped bring several championships to the school in cross country, basketball and baseball. He was a founder of the 3R's baseball camp, which gave free instructions in baseball and life skills in New York.  
  Brian Dayett '78 (Baseball)
A member of the 1978 NCAA tournament team, Brian Dayett was a two-year student-athlete where he led the team in multiple categories each of his sophomore and junior seasons. In two seasons, Dayett logged 197 total bases, 78 RBI, 26 doubles, 11 home runs and 10 triples. During his sophomore season, in which he played every game, Dayett put together a .311 hitting percentage before following that up with a .381 average his junior season. The New York Yankees selected Dayett in the 16th round of the 1978 draft. In 1982, he was named the AA Southern League Player of the Year with 34 home runs, a Nashville Sounds single season record that still stands today, and 96 RBI before a 1983 New York Yankees Minor League Player of the Year honor. He played five years in the Major Leagues with two clubs, the New York Yankees (1983-84) and the Chicago Cub (1985-87) where he played 218 games with 26 doubles, 14 home runs and 68 RBI. As an outfielder in the major's, Dayett made just one error in 221 chances. Following his five-year career in the MLB, Dayett played four seasons in the Japanese Pacific League for the Hippon Ham Fighters before making his was to the coaching side of baseball, coaching from 1997-2015 most recently with the Texas Rangers in 2014
  Pierre Augustin '90 (Men's Basketball)
One of the top all-time leading scorers in Saint Leo men's basketball history, Pierre Augustin competed for the Monarchs for two seasons where he amassed 1,037 points. His highlight night was against Tampa where he scored 40 points on Jan. 25, 1989 in the program's first ever win over the Spartans. While competing on the hardwood for the Monarchs, he played in 53 games with a .483 shooting percentage and a .417 three-point percentage. Augustin hauled in 272 rebounds in two seasons and dished out 126 assists. He was the executive secretary and founding father of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity chapter at Saint Leo. Following his time at Saint Leo, Augustin started Universal Distributor Inc. in 2003 after working in the industry for several years. He is a supporter of PBA and FDNY through financial donations.
  Eusebio Montoya '08 (Men's Soccer)
An NSCAA All-American as a senior, Eusebio Montoya was a four-year member of the Saint Leo men's soccer program. He ranks third in the Saint Leo record book for career goals with 46 and career points with 115. He was a three-time All-Sunshine State Conference honoree including a pair of first team nods. Montoya was named the 2005 SSC Freshman of the Year and helped the team win its first ever SSC Championship and achieve a No. 2 national ranking. As a sophomore, he received the Personal Improvement Award at the Saint Leo Athletic Banquet. Montoya currently works at Saint Leo as a financial aid manager.
 
  Ashley Urbanik '09 (Softball)
A two-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection, Ashley Urbanik enters the Saint Leo Athletics Hall of Fame after a strong four-year career with the softball program both at the plate and inside the circle. Urbanik ranks among the top-10 in 10 career categories inside the Saint Leo record book including seven as a pitcher and three as a hitter. She sits in second in career homeruns (33), third in wins (73), shutouts (28), strikeouts (791) and appearances (141), fourth in RBI (124) and complete games (94), fifth in innings pitched (774.2) and sixth in ERA (1.72) and at bats (632). She helped lead the team to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances in 2006 and 2008 and ranked among the top in NCAA Division II in 2008 in ERA (1.04, 12^th), wins (27, 16^th), hits allowed per seven innings (4.31, 17^th), home runs per game (0.27, 23^rd) and strikeouts per seven innings (7.7, 39^th).
  Hannah Beard '10 (Women's Soccer)
One of the most decorated women's soccer student-athletes in Saint Leo University history, Hannah Beard was a four-year contributor to the Lions program. A four-time All-Sunshine State Conference selection, Beard set numerous program records during her four years and still holds two career marks, one single season record and three single-game highs. She is the all-time leader in assists (31) and games played (76) while holding the single season record for assists with 12 in 2008. Beard was a two-time NSCAA Scholar All-American, three-time NSCAA All-Region honoree and was named an NSCAA All-American as a junior. She was honored as the SSC Offensive Player of the Year as a junior and was named to a pair of SSC All-Tournament teams. As a junior she helped lead Saint Leo to its first SSC Tournament Championship in program history.  She ended her time at Saint Leo with 76 career games played, 46 goals, 31 assists and 123 total points. Following her time with the Lions, Beard went on to play professionally in both the United States and Australia.
  Kyle Marceau '10 (Men's Lacrosse)
A 2010 US Lacrosse All-American, Kyle Marceau becomes the first Saint Leo men's lacrosse student-athlete to enter the Saint Leo University Athletic Hall of Fame. Despite only being at the university for three seasons, Marceau put his name all over the Saint Leo record book. He scored 77 career goals in just three seasons while dishing out 53 assists. He still ranks among the top-10 at Saint Leo in points (130), goals (77), assists (53), shots (260), shots on goal (152) and man-up goals (9). He was named the Saint Leo Male Scholar Athlete of the Year as a senior and was also a USILA Academic All-American that season as well. He was a two-time First Team All-Deep South selection and was named to a pair of Deep South All-Tournament teams including being named the 2010 tournament MVP. He was Saint Leo's first representative for the USILA North/South All-Star game following his senior campaign. Following graduation, Marceau moved back to New Hampshire where he lives with his wife and son. He currently works for Lincoln Financial Group and is an assistant lacrosse coach for Concord High School.
  Kaitlin McKenna '10 (Volleyball)
A four-year standout on the Saint Leo volleyball team, Kaitlin McKenna holds the career records for the Lions in attack percentage (.379) and block assists (405) while ranking in the top-10 in four other categories. She is second in total kills (1,376), total blocks (475) and games played (511) while ranking seventh in solo blocks (70). She also posted the best single season attack percentage in program history as a freshman at .452. McKenna was an honorable mention AVCA All-America selection as a sophomore and was a three-time AVCA All-Region honoree. In 2007, she was named the AVCA South Region Freshman of the Year. She was also the Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year in 2007 and an honorable mention All-SSC selection. McKenna was a three-time NCAA South Region All-Tournament Team honoree and was a two-time All-SSC selection including a second team nod as a sophomore and first team as a junior. As a junior, she was a First Team CoSIDA Academic All-District selection for her prowess in the classroom and on the court. Following graduation she worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and currently works at Ernst & Young Accounting in their Sweden office.
