NORMAN, Okla. – Coming off an NCAA Quarterfinal run in 2017-18, the Saint Leo University men's golf team enters the 2018-19 season ninth in the Bushnell Golfweek National preseason coaches poll, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Friday, August 24.

The Lions were one of seven Sunshine State Conference teams in the top-25 preseason poll where Lynn, the 2018 national champions, led the way in No. 2. Barry (No. 3), Florida Southern (No. 4), Florida Tech (No. 5), and Nova Southeastern (No. 6) all rounded out the top-six teams where the Lions fell in at No. 9, with Rollins falling in at No. 14 for a total of seven SSC teams in the top-15.

West Florida sits atop the preseason poll after receiving eight first place votes with Lynn (6), Barry (3), Florida Southern (1) and Limestone (1) all receiving the remaining 11 votes.

Oliver Lilliedahl, who took third in Muscle Shoals, Ala., the Phil Mickelson Most Outstanding Freshman of the Year,
Alberto Castagnara, along with

The Lions open the 2018-19 season on Sept. 24-25 at TPC Tampa Bay for the second annual Griffin Invitational, hosted by the Green and Gold.
