NORMAN, Okla. – The Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars were announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) where the Saint Leo men's golf team saw two golfers earn the scholar honors for the 2017-18 season. Seniors
CJ Tyler and
Colin Warren made their first career appearances on the list following a strong final season at Saint Leo.

The pair were two of the 14 Sunshine State Conference golfers to receive the honors and among the 126 Division II golfers to earn the honors.

Tyler, a senior accounting major, finished his senior campaign with a 75.80 stroke average over his five events played. The Northumberland, Pa., native had his best tournament at the Cougar Invitational where he carded a low 54-hole tournament score of 220 including a low round of 70.

Warren, a graduate student working on his Masters of Business Administration, played in six events for the Lions and finished with the fourth-best stroke average on the team at 74.33. The Rockville Centre, N.Y., native appeared in 18 rounds for the Lions with a low 54-hole score of 217 including a low round of 71 in the second and third rounds of the Cougar Invitational.

To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a junior or senior academically, compete in at least three full years at the collegiate level, participate in 50-percent of his team's competitive rounds, have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 78.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at his college or university.
