SAINT LEO, Fla. – Saint Leo beach volleyball closed out its inaugural regular season with a 3-2 setback to Tampa at the Saint Leo Beach Volleyball Courts.

Saint Leo drops to 3-7 while Tampa climbs to 9-8 after the match.

Tampa took a 1-0 lead after the no. 4 flight finished in three sets where the no. 2's went to the Lions after three sets.

With a 1-1 match,
Nina Vattovaz and
Reggie Van Devender gave the Green and Gold a 2-1 lead after taking their matchup in straight sets, 21-17, 21-18.

The Spartans tied it at 2-2 after taking the no. 5 flight over
Annabella Arcari and
Allie Daul 21-19, 19-21, 15-10.

Tied at 2-2, the match came down to the no. 1 flight where it was in the third set.
Anna Garrett and
Jenya Kruglova rallied but came up short and fell 15-11 in the third.
