SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Saint Leo Beach Volleyball team is set to open play for the first time in program history Saturday, March 17 when the Lions travel to Lakeland, Fla. to take on Stevenson and Florida Southern in a tri-match.

The Green and Gold will take on Stevenson at 1 p.m. followed by a matchup with the Moccasins at 3p.m.

The Mustangs enter with a 6-4 record, including a loss to Sunshine State Conference foe Tampa on March 13, 3-2.

The Moccasins enter with a 1-6 record, where Florida Southern also fell to Tampa 4-1 to open the season on March 2. The Mocs' lone win was over Morehead State, 3-2, on March 3.

Saint Leo will send

Nina Vattovaz,
Reggie Van Devender,
Brooke Turner,
Jenya Kruglova,
Allie Daul,
Paloma Da Silva, Annabela Arcari and
Anna Garrett to the beach and take on the Mustangs and Mocs in the first action of the season.

Following the weekend, the Lions will travel to Tampa for a dual at 4 pm against the Spartans.

Saint Leo hosts Eckerd, Florida International, Florida Southern, and Jacksonville o March 23-24 for a five-team tournament.
