TAMPA, Fla. – The 22nd-ranked Saint Leo women's swimming team traveled to the University of Tampa this past weekend for a pair of meets on Saturday and Sunday. The Spartans took both competitions over the Lions including winning 126-39 Saturday and 126-41 on Sunday.

The two losses were the first of the season for the Lions who entered this past weekend 4-0 on the year. Junior
Julia Chmielewska led the Saint Leo effort as she came away with a pair of victories. The Kartuzy, Poland native won the 200 backstroke on Saturday before taking home the 100 backstroke on Sunday.

She won the 200 in 2:07.84 while taking home the 100 in 58.78.

Saint Leo picked up two other individual top-two finishes as freshman
Carolina Walch took second in the 400 individual medley and sophomore
Paulina Majszutowicz placed second in the 200 breastsroke. Walch touched in 4:36.52 while Majszutowicz clocked in at 2:22.45.

The Lions will be back in action Dec. 15-18 for a four-day Spartan Invite hosted by the University of Tampa in Clearwater. Â
