TAMPA, Fla. – Saint Leo women's soccer played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer with archrival University of Tampa, ending in a 0-0 double overtime time on Wednesday evening at Pepin Stadium.
The result ended Saint Leo's hopes for a Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Tournament berth, and closed the books on the Lions' 2017 season with a 4-8-1 overall record, 3-6-1 in the SSC with 10 points.
Tampa outshot Saint Leo, 15-10, and however the Lions enjoyed a 7-5 advantage in shots on goal. Lions goalkeeper Megan Charlton charted five saves over her 110 minutes in goal.
Each team was whistled for eight fouls, while the Spartans had seven corner kick opportunities to the Lions' four.

- The result is the first scoreless draw for Saint Leo women's soccer since October 17, 2012, when the Lions and Florida Tech were deadlocked at 0-0. Ironically, Saint Leo played Florida Tech twice during the 2012 season, with both meetings ending in a double-overtime scoreless tie.
- In her final collegiate game, Rosie Young led Saint Leo with three total shots – all of which were on goal. Payton Ruehling, Emily Baker, and Meghan Slaybaught accounted for the remaining Saint Leo shots on goal

- Tampa keeper Caroline Frykgard charted seven saves over 110 minutes.
- Miranda Gonzalez paced the Spartans with six total shots, only two of which were on target. Libby Wissman also accounted for two shots on goal, which Lacy Nasello logged one SOG.
