Box Score SAINT LEO, Fla. – After waiting another week to get their season started, the Saint Leo women's soccer team dropped a heartbreaker to Mississippi College in overtime, 3-2, on Monday, Sept. 5 at Saint Leo University Soccer Field.
The Lions were led by Arielle Kabangu who notched one goal before allowing Saint Leo to get a penalty kick late in the second half. Katie Waddell put the ball in the back of the net to finish off the penalty kick to bring the Lions even at 2-2 with the Choctaws.
Mississippi College was led by Jess Davenport who had two goals where Caitlin Hayes came up with the heroics with the game-winning goal in overtime.
