SAINT LEO, Fla. – The No. 3 Saint Leo women's tennis team took down the Rollins College Tars on Wednesday afternoon, topping the visitors, 7-2, to remain perfect in Sunshine State Conference action.

The Lions are now 14-1 on the season, and 4-0 in league play.

In the match with the Tars, Saint Leo jumped out to a 2-1 lead following doubles play, and dominate play from the Lions top three singles helped the match become won by the Lions.

Natalia Siedliska and Anastasia Wagner teamed up to earn the first point in No. 1 doubles, earning an 8-0 victory. Marine Beugre-Guyot and Pauline Helgesson followed with an 8-2 win at No. 3. The Tars earned their point in a battle at No. 2, taking the match 9-8 (5).

Siedliska gave the Lions their third point of the match, handling Shannon Etten, 6-0, 6-1. Beugre-Guyot followed with a 6-0, 6-2 win, while Wagner's 6-1, 6-2 win over Savanna Fuller gave the Lions the fifth points and a 5-1 lead.

Helgesson tacked on another point for the Lions as she won No. 5 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Madeleine Gauthier gave Saint Leo their final point with a 6-3, 6-4 win in No. 4 singles.

The Tars final point game with a 7-5, 6-1 win in the No. 6 spot.

Saint Leo will be back in action on Saturday, April 9 versus No. 2 Barry at 10 a.m.
