SAINT LEO, Fla. - Senior Isabella Robbiani was named the Sunshine State Conference Female Tennis Athlete of the Week after posting an undefeated record over two matches, helping the Saint Leo women's tennis team to a 2-0 record during the week of March 7-13.
Robbiani opened the week with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Ferris State's No. 2, and added a win in doubles, pairing with Katherine Zaatini, 8-4. The Lions took the match against Ferris, 9-0.
In the Lions 6-3 win over Northeastern State, Robbiani was bumped up to the No. 1 singles spot, earning a 6-1, 2-6, 6-2 win. She then paired with Anastasia Wagner in the No. 1 singles spot, taking the win 8-4.
The Saint Leo women's tennis team host No. 6 West Florida on Tuesday, March 15 at 10 a.m.
