Quotes from Coach

"First of all it was a really it was by far the most emotional week for these kids, they wanted to win so bad. In the first game [Thursday] they came out sflat, and today was the complete opposite. They were outside on their 'hype-zone' and at halftime, I got them to calm down. We responded well, and calm down a little bit, and now it's time to move forward."

"As for Matthais and Max, they are going to lead us, and they proved it. Matthias took the opportunities he had and he put them away. We need to keep giving them those moments, and they will be great."

Points to Note

  • The Lions outshot LMC, 11-8, 6-3 on goal.
  • Conor McElhinney (Jr., GK, Jericho, NY) and James White (Fr., GK, Portsmouth, England) split time in the goal, each making one save. McElhinney took the first period, while White guarded the net in the second.
  • The Lions only attempted one corner kick in the entire match, they also only gave up two attempts for LMC.

For the Bobcats

  • The Bobcats lone goal came from Pol Vassart on his lone shot attempt. He was assisted by Nathan Watt.
  • Gus Pederson played all 90 minutes in the net, registering two saves
