Coach's Quotes
"We opened with a great interplay between Kabangu and Gignac, again which seems to be a great combination this year. Unfortunately, we just couldn't hang on. We had a tough moment in the back row where we had to make a substitution, and it gave Barry the opportunity to equalize. Unfortunately the dam just broke towards the end of overtime. I thought we fought hard, I thought they put out a great effort, we had 15, 16 shots, hitting the post, and our keeper made a number of wonderful saves again, but we are struggling to find the back of the net with the opportunities that we have."
On Gignac's new career-high for goals in a season:
"Gen's maturity, her fitness, have really helped her elevate her game. She was always a great player, but she is certainly excelling right now, and we are very proud of her."
Points to Note
- Gignac recorded her team-high seventh goal of the season. She has now set a personal record with seven season goals. She scored six in her freshman season, and five as a sophomore.
For the Opponent
- Robe recorded her sixth goal of the season.
- Grimshaw recorded her third goal, and second game winner.
