Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- Saint Leo baseball ended their regular season on a high note as they completed the sweep against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish with scores of 15-1 and 10-1 in today's doubleheader at Rubin Field.

The Green and Gold complete their regular season campaign with an overall record of 36-13, a three game improvement over last season. The Sailfish finish 22-25 overall in the final year before joining the Sunshine State Conference.

In game one, Liam O'Sullivan pitched a gem, spreading eight hits over nine full innings, conceding just one run while striking out eight. The South Grafton, Mass. native earned his eighth win on the season and his third complete game.

Senior Bobby Twitty continued his strong end to the regular season with a 3-for-5 performance including a three-run home run, his seventh of the season. Also smashing the long ball was sophomore Zach Sabo who went 2-for-2 in his role off the bench. The Tampa, Florida native belted his first home run of the season, a solo shot in the top of ninth to cap the Lions' 15 runs in the game.  Saint Leo registered 15 hits in the win.

Kyle Polaski drops to 3-6 on the year after receiving the starting nod for Palm Beach Atlantic. Polaski went 4.0 innings giving up eight runs on nine hits. Despite the lack of run support, designated hitter Hakeem Rhodes went 4-for-4 in the game.

In game two, senior Jordan Taylor moved to 5-1 on the year with a strong 6.0 inning performance. Taylor allowed just one run on five hits while striking out four. In the first inning, Taylor was able to get out of a bases-loaded jam and did not let the Sailfish gain any momentum over the next five scoreless innings.

Senior captain Tyrone Miller came on to relieve Taylor in the seventh. Miller pitched three shut out innings allowing just one hit over that span and registering three strikeouts.

Tyler Scheuer (4-2) took the loss for P.B.A., his second of the season. Scheuer went 6.0 full innings giving up six runs on 12 hits.

Catcher Dale Irving led the Lions at the plate with a 2-for-4 effort including a two-run home run in the top of the fifth inning. Irving finished with four total RBI after a single in the top of the seventh and a sac-fly in the top of the eighth. Chad Miller started in centerfield and was the benefactor of Irving's performance at the dish. Miller scored three runs on the day going 2-for-5 at the plate, adding an RBI of his own and a stolen base.

Sophomore Dylan Harris finished the regular season on an 11 game hit streak. Harris went 7-for-16 in the series with six RBI and three runs scored. The Land O' Lakes native also added three stolen bases increasing his total to 12 on the year.

Saint Leo outscored Palm Beach Atlantic 41-4 over the three games.

The Lions await the results of other conference matchups before knowing their final standing in the SSC for this season.
