Women's tennis remains fourth in latest regional ranking

SAINT LEO, Fla. – With two matches remaining in the regular season, the No. 5 Saint Leo women's tennis team sits fourth in the South Region as per the latest release of the NCAA Regional Rankings on Wednesday. 

The Lions are 15-3 on the season with a 5-1 record in Sunshine State Conference contests as they remain fourth in the South Region with two conference contests left to play.

The Green and Gold is set to play the South Region's top squad, Barry on Saturday, April 18 at 11 a.m. as one of two regular season showdowns, the other being Rollins later this afternoon at 1 p.m.

The No. 2 and No. 3 teams are the only two regional losses that the Lions have suffered, as West Florida and Nova Southeastern occupy the second and third spots.  Ranking fifth is SSC foe Lynn University while Shorter, Stillman and Palm Beach Atlantic round out the top-8, respectively.

The Lions will conclude conference action before hosting the Sunshine State Conference Tennis Championship beginning on April 23rd while awaiting final seeding for the tournament.
