Box Score SAINT LEO, Fla.- Saint Leo baseball picked up their first conference win on a 15-4 victory over the visiting No. 10 Florida Tech Panthers, tonight at Thomas B. Southard Stadium. The Lions record improves to 20-4 on the season.
It was another hit parade as everyone in the starting lineup had at least one tonight. Seniors Jordan Taylor and Bobby Twitty each had three and combined for six RBI. Taylor picked up three of his four on a bases clearing double down the right field line.
Sophomore third baseman Dylan Harris extended his hitting streak to 21 games as he laid down a bunt for a hit in the bottom of the third. He finished 2-5 making 12 multi-hit games on the season for Harris.
Michael Dunnigan once again received the Friday night nod. The Tarpon Springs, Florida native picked up his sixth win on the season going 6.2 innings, surrendering four runs on eight hits, and registering five strikeouts.
Despite the lopsided score, the Lions didn't have an answer for Panther leadoff man Kevin Wortman, who went 3-5 on the night and flashed his speed around the bases.
The two conference foes will be back at it tomorrow for a series concluding doubleheader beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Southard Stadium.
