SAINT LEO, Fla.- Tuesday is baseball poll day in the Division II realm, and Saint Leo baseball makes an appearance across the board in the top three polls earning rankings of 17 in the D2 Baseball News poll, 23 in the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper poll, and 25 in the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) poll.

Lions baseball has started the season 9-1 collecting wins over Tusculum, Salem International, #16 Florida Southern, Albany St., and Montevallo. Saint Leo has outscored opponents an impressive 111-48 and has already hit 25 home runs on the young season. Senior Liam O'Sullivan and junior Michael Dunnigan have a combined 7-0 record with 38 strikeouts.

Also featured in the polls from the Sunshine State Conference are Tampa, Nova Southeastern, Lynn, and Florida Tech.  Tampa is unanimously ranked 1, while Nova is 18 in D2 Baseball News, 8 in Collegiate Baseball Newspaper, and 5 in NCBWA. Lynn only cracked the top 25/30 in the D2 Baseball News poll at 27 and Collegiate Baseball Newspaper at 17.  Florida Tech only broke into the D2 Baseball News poll at 21.

Lions baseball is back in action Wednesday night, February 18 at 6:00 p.m. as they travel to Southeastern University in Lakeland to make up Tuesday's postponed game.
