SAINT LEO, Fla. -- The Saint Leo women's volleyball team dropped its first match in the Marion Bowman Activities Center since Sept. 15. In their ninth match against a top-25 opponent this season, the Lions dropped a 3-1 decision to No. 14 Palm Beach Atlantic Friday night.

How It Happened
- Sophomore Britt Sederholm led all hitters and matched her career high 19 kills Friday night, on an efficient .281 attack clip. Sederholm took 57 swings on the outside, and turned in just three errors. Sederholm was errorless in the first set. The Utah native also picked up her eighth double-double of the season with the addition of 13 digs.
- Fellow outside Hope Lemon was the only other Lion in double digits at the net, and the junior tallied 14 kills on 42 swings for a .214 attack percentage. Lemon collected 14 digs, her second highest total of the season, for her fifth double-double this year. Lemon accounted for 15 points Friday night.
- Senior Ashlee Hodgskin dished out 42 assists for her third consecutive 40+ assist outing. Hodgskin turned in a double-double of her own, thanks to 10 digs, her sixth of the season.
- Anna Siruckova and Katie Adamson each turned in five kills, and Jilian Stolzenburg added three.
- Libero Jamee Townsend tallied 21 digs, upping her season average to 5.01 digs per set. Townsend also delivered four assists.
- Freshman Reggie Van Devender tallied nine digs in her first career start and Hannah Pietz added three.
Beyond the Box score
- Sederholm has reached 19 kills this season, twice against top-25 teams. The sophomore first reached her career high against no.25 West Texas A&M Sept. 11, and again at Eckerd Sept. 19. In both her previous 19 kill performances, Sederholm turned in 10 digs. All three 19-kill outings have been in four set matches.
- Sederholm has turned in three consecutive 10+ dig performances and is averaging 3.33 digs per set and 13.33 digs per match in her last three outings.
- Towsend has collected 139 digs in the Lions last six outings. The junior has averaged 23 digs per match in the past six matches, 6.32 digs per set.
For the Sailfish
- The 'Fish dropped a set for the third straight match but improved their record to 7-2 in four set affairs.
- Faith Rohn led the Sailfish with 14 kills and 12 digs, one of three Sailfish to grab a double-double.
- Emma Ballantyne finished the match with 14 kills and fellow middle Sarah Ragland continues her strong sophomore season with eight total blocks and eight kills.
- Alexandra Roberts notched 24 assists and 14 digs while Rachael Holehouse added 16 dig and Susie Forbes led the team with 17.
- Stephany Brown added seven kills and three blocks while Amy Schatzmann collected four service aces.
